1. How does Thermage CPT work?
The revolutionary new Thermage CPT Systems represents a leap forward in skin tightening and contouring technology. 2. Who is best suited to Thermage CPT?
The most suitable patient generally has skin laxity and is between the ages of 30 to 70 years old. However, I have satisfactorily performed thermage on many clients up to the age of 88 years old. However, I inform these older clients that they will have limited but satisfying results lasting for approximately 2 years.
3. What does the treatment involve, and what does it help improve?
The thermage CPT treatment involves the use of patented monopolar radiofrequency technology to effectively tighten existing skin collagen and stimulate the production of new collagen within all skin layers and the collagen strands within the subcutaneous tissue. Thermage is the only technology that can penetrate the skin to reach these levels, and hence deliver excellent skin tightening and lifting.
The amazing advantages of thermage CPT are that only one treatment is required in most individuals, the treatment only takes 60 to 90 minutes, there is no downtime, and the results last between 3 to 4 years in most individuals. Most patients see initial improvements during the treatment plus have a positive sensation of skin tightening before they leave our clinic.
4. What areas of the body are best suited to the treatment?
Any parts of the body may be treated with thermage. By far, the most popular is the face and neck ( ie. non surgical brow lifting, face lifting, jowel tightening, neck skin tightening). The next most popular is tummy skin tightening. Other areas suitable for thermage treatment include underarm, above knees, buttocks, thighs, and hands.
5. Can Thermage CPT work as an anti-ageing treatment?
Thermage CPT is an excellent tool for anti-ageing. By improving the density of your own natural skin collagen, the thermage improves the structure of the skin, and hence its tone and elasticity. Therefore thermage slows down the ageing process in the skin with respect to skin laxity and elasticity. When thermage is combined with fraxel restore, the antiageing results are synergistic, and the results are amazing. As a result, we can achieve results that will make the quality of a clients skin 5 to 10 years younger.
6. Are there any associated risks? If so, what are they?
Thermage is an excellent treatment with a very high safety profile, and no downtime when performed by experienced doctors. At our clinics, MD Cosmedical Solutions, we have performed over 2000 treatments with 100% safety. However there are reports that with inexperienced clinics, there is a very small risk of swelling, redness, and mild short term blistering. It is very important to do your research and only have treatments with experienced cosmedical practitioners.
7. What should patients expect post treatment in terms of downtime, side effects and pain?
With our treatment profile, all our patients have had no post treatment pain, swelling, blistering or redness. Our patients only experience a positive feeling of skin tightening. Many of our clients have the treatment performed as a lunch-time procedure and comfortably return to work imediately after treatment.
